At Village Baptist, we believe children are precious to the Lord. It is our desire to teach children to love the Lord and to love His Word in a way that is easy
for them to understand.
Children on Sundays
We offer Sunday School for children 2 years old and up.
We have a well-staffed nursery for children up to age 2 during the Sunday School hour and for children up to age 3 during the morning and evening services.
During the morning service, the 2 year olds are separate from the babies for part of the time to allow them a little more constructive activities.
During the morning sermon, we offer Junior Church for children ages 3- fifth grade. Again, the younger children (ages 3-5) are separate from the older children
for part of the time to allow for more age-appropriate activities. For more information, please call the church.
Pioneer Clubs (during school year only)
Pioneer Clubs meet on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:00pm. We welcome kids from 2 years old through sixth grade. The kids are broken up into five groups:
"Skippers" (2-3 yr. olds), "Scooters" (4 yrs old- kindergarten), "Voyagers" (1-2 grade), "Pathfinders" (3-4 grade), and "Trailblazers" (5-6 grade).
The evening is broken into 3 separate time slots: Game time, Song time, and Handbook time. During Handbook time the kids learn Bible stories and memorize Bible
verses to earn Bible Bucks that they get to spend at our Christmas Store in the winter and Fun Fair in the Spring. They also complete projects to earn badges in
everything from carpentry to rocket science. Game Time is led by fantastic leaders who come up with fun and engaging games for each age level. The youngest kids,
the two and three year old "Skippers," are kept separate from the older kids for most of the evening but often join the 4yr olds- 2nd graders for songs.
Parent pick-up time is 8:00pm.
