Membership is an important part of life at Village. While it does not affect your spiritual status with God or relational status with the church, it does afford you further opportunities
for involvement and service with us. As a congregationally-led church, members actively participate in seeking the Lord's direction and the decision making process that follows. In addition
to providing opportunities for involvement, it also signifies your committment to a local body of believers.
What is required to become a member?
You must be a born-again believer in Jesus Christ, and you must be baptized by immersion, following, and because of your new birth in Jesus. As a born-again believer you must be living a life free from rebellion of the clear teaching of Scripture.
What is the process for pursuing membership?
Assuming you meet the above requirements, become acquainted with our Constitution, Bylaws, Covenant and Doctrine of VBC and be in substantive agreement with their content. That done contact Pastor Bob to schedule an interview with the deacons to obtain their recommendation. This recommendation will be brought before the congregation and then voted on.
